19 Injured in Head-On Collision on Gomoa Ojobi-Senya Bereku Road

An accident involving two Sprinter Benz buses has left 19 people injured on the Gomoa Ojobi-Senya Bereku Road in Ghana’s Central Region.

The crash occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at around 4:00 a.m. Four of the victims are reported to be in critical condition.

According to eyewitnesses, the two buses, with registration numbers AC-804-16 and GR 5137-18, collided head-on. Several passengers sustained severe injuries and were quickly transported by emergency services to nearby health facilities for urgent medical attention.

“We rushed to the scene and saw that the two Sprinter buses had collided head-on. Many of the passengers were badly injured,” an eyewitness recounted.

The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation. However, some witnesses suspect that one of the drivers may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

Authorities are currently working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
