A wave of tension has engulfed Twifo Praso after a man believed to be in his mid-50s was found lifeless early this morning at the Assin Fosu Station. The unexpected death has left many residents unsettled.
The deceased, popularly known in the community as “Alah Foose,” was reported to be a former task-force worker with the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Assembly. His official name is yet to be made public.
According to accounts from people around the station, he had allegedly been drinking the previous night and decided to sleep at the station instead of heading home. At dawn, station workers discovered him motionless. Attempts to wake him proved futile, and he was later confirmed dead.
No immediate signs of foul play were detected, and the circumstances surrounding his passing remain unclear. Residents say the body remained at the station for close to six hours before police arrived.
Officers from the Twifo Praso Police Service eventually secured the area, conducted preliminary checks, and conveyed the body to the morgue for autopsy and further investigations.
