In a significant gesture of support and development, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, has donated items worth GHS 3.6 million to her constituents. The donation, made on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, highlights her commitment to improving livelihoods and infrastructure across the constituency.
The wide-ranging donation includes 500 boxes of street lights to enhance safety and infrastructure, and 500 boxes of cutlasses to support local farmers and boost agricultural productivity.
In a bid to promote sports development, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe provided 5 boxes of trophies, 20 sacks of jerseys, and 8 boxes of footballs, which are expected to benefit local teams, schools, and community sports groups.
Additionally, 500 sewing machines were distributed to tailors and dressmakers to improve their productivity and business operations. In support of the beauty industry, 500 hair dryers and 400 dryer stands were also donated to hairdressers and their apprentices, providing them with tools to expand their skills and income-generating potential.
Speaking at the distribution event, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe explained that the items were in response to appeals made during her campaign by both young people and the elderly. Many had requested tools to improve their trades and economic standing.
The people of Amenfi Central expressed deep gratitude for the MP’s generosity and dedication. Her donation has been hailed as a clear demonstration of servant leadership and a proactive approach to development.
