The Member of Parliament (MP) for Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Agyinsam, has made a significant contribution to the grand enstoolment of the King of Denkyira, reaffirming his commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Denkyira Kingdom.
The historic ceremony took place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, and brought together traditional leaders, dignitaries, and community members from across the region. Hon. Agyinsam, describing himself as a proud son of the land, said his support reflects both his respect for the Denkyira Kingdom and his dedication to promoting unity and cultural identity.
As part of his gesture, the MP presented a wide range of items to support the celebration, including:
40 streetlights to enhance community security and illumination
3 bags of rice to feed celebrants and guests
20 boxes of bricket charcoal for meal preparation
1 carton of schnapps for traditional rites
1 sheep for customary sacrifice
20 packs of bottled water for refreshment
5 cartons each of Malt, Coca-Cola, and Sprite
50 crates of eggs donated by Farm Fresh
Canopies and chairs to provide comfort for attendees
In addition to the items, Hon. Agyinsam made a total financial contribution of GH₵100,000, comprising GH₵70,000 from his personal resources, GH₵20,000 from Farm Fresh, and GH₵10,000 from Rainforest Lodge.
“This gesture reflects not only my respect for the Denkyira Kingdom and its revered customs, but also my enduring commitment to upholding our traditions, promoting unity, and celebrating our cultural identity,” Hon. Agyinsam said.
The MP’s support was warmly received by traditional authorities and attendees, who commended his dedication to both cultural preservation and community development.
