The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East, in partnership with the Municipal Chief Executive and Party Executives, has donated vital medical equipment to the Municipal Health Directorate and other healthcare facilities across the constituency.
This gesture follows a recent visit to the Dunkwa Government Hospital, where hospital management drew attention to the pressing need for modern equipment to cope with rising healthcare demands.
The intervention is aimed at boosting the hospitals’ diagnostic and treatment capabilities ultimately improving healthcare delivery, saving lives, and reducing the burden of traveling long distances for medical attention.
During the event, the MP also underscored the importance of preventive healthcare, particularly cervical cancer awareness for girls aged 9 to 14 who qualify for the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination. She further highlighted the significance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is being observed throughout October.
In collaboration with Akua Attah Memorial Textiles, a Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Exercise was organized on October 2, 2025, at Boa-Amponsem Senior High School.
The programme encouraged female students to adopt proactive health practices, including regular self-examinations and open discussions about breast health key steps toward dispelling myths and stigma surrounding the issue.
The MP also demonstrated her commitment to inclusivity by extending support to persons with disabilities, presenting them with essential supplies to improve their daily living conditions. She emphasized that such initiatives reflect a collective duty to ensure that all citizens, regardless of physical ability, have the means to live meaningful and dignified lives.
She expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for his steadfast support and the resources provided to the constituency, which have made these interventions possible.
Reaffirming her commitment, the MP pledged to continue collaborating with stakeholders to promote accessible healthcare, social inclusion, and community well-being across Upper Denkyira East.
