No Trading Ban on Tuesday – Denkyira Abakomahene Clarifies

The Denkyira Abakomahene, Nana Gyekye Anim III, has urged the people of Denkyira to continue wearing black until the installation and outdooring of the new Denkyirahene.

He dismissed circulating rumours that traders, drivers, and market women would be barred from working on Tuesday, describing such claims as baseless. Nana Gyekye Anim III encouraged residents to disregard the misinformation and go about their daily activities without fear.

The Abakomahene further warned that Nananoom will not spare individuals who defraud residents by collecting money and issuing fake receipt booklets, stressing that offenders will face both traditional and legal sanctions.

Announcing a major clean-up exercise scheduled for 28th October, he appealed to all residents to participate fully. He also called on the public to patronize the official attire for the upcoming installation and outdooring of the new Denkyirahene.

Concluding his address, Nana Gyekye Anim III urged the people of Denkyira to remain united, law-abiding, and supportive of the traditional council, emphasizing that peace and cooperation are essential to ensuring a dignified and memorable ceremony.
