Chaos erupted in Kukurantumi, in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region, after a suspect reportedly died while in police custody.
Enraged youth, blaming the police for the incident, stormed the Kukurantumi Police Station and set it on fire.
The violent protest has left the town on edge, with angry residents demanding immediate answers about what caused the suspect’s death.
Security personnel have been deployed to the area to restore calm and prevent additional clashes.
