The Denkyira Traditional Council has officially nominated Mr. Kwame Mensah as the 26th King (Denkyirahene) of the historic Denkyira Kingdom, marking a new chapter in the rich heritage of one of Ghana’s most illustrious traditional states.

Mr. Mensah, a respected elder of the Odokor branch of the Apostolic Church, is widely admired for his humility, wisdom, and commitment to community development. Though he currently resides in Tema, Accra, he hails from a distinguished Denkyira lineage, making him a fitting choice to ascend the ancient throne.

The nomination sets the stage for a series of traditional rites and ceremonies leading to his formal installation and outdooring, which will usher in a new era of leadership for the Denkyira people. Elders of the kingdom have expressed confidence that Mr. Mensah’s moral integrity and spiritual grounding will guide him in promoting peace, unity, and progress across Denkyira and beyond.

His forthcoming reign is expected to focus on preserving Denkyira’s cultural heritage while fostering development initiatives that will benefit both the traditional area and the wider Ghanaian community.
