The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere, accompanied by members of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), has paid a courtesy call on the Denkyirahene and the Denkyira Traditional Council as part of his ongoing regional familiarisation tour.

The Minister led the RCC delegation to engage the Denkyirahene and the Nananom Abrempong of the Denkyira Traditional Area, which covers districts including Upper Denkyira East and Upper Denkyira West.

The visit was aimed at seeking the counsel and cooperation of the traditional authorities, strengthening collaboration between government and traditional leadership, and listening to specific development concerns affecting the Denkyira area.

Discussions focused on key issues such as road and infrastructure development, strategies to curb illegal mining (galamsey), and the promotion of peace and stability, particularly in relation to chieftaincy matters, to enhance socio-economic development.

The Minister reaffirmed government’s commitment to working closely with traditional leaders to address the challenges confronting communities in the area.

The visit forms part of Hon. Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere’s broader efforts to promote discipline, collaboration and sustainable development across all districts in the Central Region.

In essence, the courtesy call served as a strategic engagement to secure traditional support essential for effective governance and the successful implementation of development projects within the Denkyira Traditional Area.
