Ghana’s Parliament has officially gone on recess, effective today, August 1, 2025. This follows an intense period of legislative activity, during which Members of Parliament passed significant bills, approved key agreements, and engaged in debates on national issues.
Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban S.K. Bagbin, expressed appreciation to MPs for their dedication and urged them to use the break to stay connected with their constituents and continue strengthening parliamentary democracy.
Although the House is on recess, Parliamentary Committees may still convene to address any urgent matters that arise. Parliament is expected to reconvene in October 2025.
