The Upper Denkyira West District held a confirmation vote today for its nominee for District Chief Executive (DCE), marking a key step in the new governance setup.
A total of 23 electors—seven government appointees and 16 assembly members—participated in the vote to confirm the nominee.
Residents are jubilant, and party members are optimistic that Isaac Nsiah has secured confirmation, pending the official announcement from the Electoral Commission.
In the final tally, 19 of the 23 electors voted “Yes,” while four voted “No.”
Mr. Rudolph Chirey, head of the Electoral Commission for Upper Denkyira East and West, declared Hon. Isaac Nsiah as the DCE‑elect for the Upper Denkyira West constituency, effective immediately.
