Ghana has donated 40 metric tonnes of premium chocolate and cocoa products to Palestine as humanitarian aid.
The donation, presented by President John Dramani Mahama to the Palestinian Ambassador in Accra, is intended to provide comfort and nutritional support to families affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
President Mahama described the gesture as both symbolic and practical, noting cocoa’s high nutritional value and its deep cultural and economic importance to Ghana. The donation features locally manufactured chocolate and cocoa-based items under the renowned Golden Tree brand.
The Palestinian Ambassador expressed deep appreciation, describing the aid as a meaningful gesture that will bring relief to many during this difficult time.
