The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will open nominations for its national executive elections on Tuesday, October 20, as part of the Party’s 2026 internal electoral process. According to the election timetable released by the Party, nominations will open at 7:00 am hours on October 20 and close at 5:00 pm on October 21, with prospective aspirants required to submit applications online through the Party’s designated portal.
The timetable, approved by the Party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC), provides that successful applicants will have 14 days to complete and secure the required endorsements on their nomination forms. Filing of nominations is scheduled from Saturday, November 7, to Monday, November 9, with completed forms to be submitted online and in hard copy at the Party’s national headquarters between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm each day.
Vetting of aspirants for national executive positions will take place from Thursday, November 12, to Friday, November 13, at the Party’s national headquarters. The NDC said the timetable was intended to guide the various stages of its internal electoral process and urged aspirants, executives and members to comply strictly with all timelines and procedures to ensure a smooth, transparent and credible election.
