Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) across the country have elected new regional executives in elections held on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The elections were largely peaceful, with personnel from the Ghana Police Service and officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) deployed to the various centres to maintain law and order and supervise the process.
Despite intense competition in some regions, particularly the Regional Chairman contests, the elections proceeded without major disruptions.
Provisional results declared by EC officials supervising the polls indicated the following Regional Chairmen-elect:
Bono East Region: Ibrahim Bukari Baba
Western Region: Ignatius Kwasi Africa
Savannah Region: Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana
Bono Region: Kwame Baffoe Abronye
Greater Accra Region: Bernard Okoe-Boye
Ashanti Region: Odeneho Kwaku Appiah
Eastern Region: Jeff Konadu Addo
Central Region: Joseph Kobinah Esibu
Ahafo Region: Robert Sarfo Mensah
Northern Region: Mohammed Baatima Adam (Samba)
North East Region: Alhaji Mohammed Fuseini
Upper East Region: Elvis Awonekai Figo
Upper West Region: Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman
Volta Region: Makafui Kofi Woanya
Oti Region: Dr Frank Yirenkyi
