A relationship counsellor, Akua Nyameyie, has advised couples to exercise caution when involving third parties in resolving relationship challenges.
She said external intervention should be considered only as a last resort, particularly in situations where communication has completely broken down or trust between partners has been seriously damaged.
Ms. Nyameyie noted that while third-party support could be helpful in difficult circumstances, couples should avoid making daily complaints to outsiders, as such actions could worsen relationship problems.
She was speaking on National Agenda, a relationship-focused programme hosted by CJ on Denkyiraman Radio.
Touching on love languages, the counsellor stressed that understanding how a partner expresses and receives affection was essential for maintaining harmony in relationships.
She explained that love languages were generally categorised into words of affirmation, quality time, gift-giving, acts of service, and physical touch.
Ms. Nyameyie said recognising and speaking each other’s love language could enhance communication and strengthen bonds between partners.
