Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has paid a thank-you visit to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) Headquarters in Accra in appreciation of the Church’s prayers and spiritual support throughout his campaign period.
Dr. Acheampong’s visit follows an earlier engagement with the Church prior to the start of his campaign, when he sought prayers and guidance ahead of his bid to lead the party.
He returned to express gratitude for the encouragement, counsel and prayers offered during the period, describing the Church’s support as impactful.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Acheampong said the campaign journey had been both enlightening and humbling, noting that it exposed him to the realities of hardship faced by many Ghanaians across the country.
“We learnt a lot during the campaign and experienced many good moments. As we toured the country, it became clear that we still have a long way to go. Many of our countrymen and women are living lives that only God is holding them together,” he said.
He further indicated that the prayers and spiritual backing he received from the Church were felt throughout his nationwide tour.
“We are happy to confirm that we felt the impact of the prayers we received here throughout our journey to the 276 constituencies,” he added.
Dr. Acheampong on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, at the PCG Head Office in Osu, Accra.
Dr. Acheampong, a member of the Salvation Congregation of the New Achimota District, thanked the Church for its continued prayers and support throughout his political journey and reaffirmed his commitment to serving the nation.
The Moderator, Rt. Rev. Dr. Kwakye, commended Dr. Acheampong for the gesture and encouraged him to remain steadfast, humble and committed to national service.
He urged him to uphold integrity and continue contributing meaningfully to Ghana’s development.
The visit ended with prayers for Dr. Acheampong’s future endeavours and for peace and progress in the country.
