Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson officially opened the National Economic Dialogue with a keynote address, marking the start of a crucial two-day forum dedicated to shaping Ghana’s economic future.
The event, organized under the theme “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together,” brings together policymakers, economists, business leaders, and civil society organizations to discuss key economic issues and develop strategies for sustainable growth.
In his speech, Dr. Ato Forson emphasized that Ghana’s economy is facing significant challenges, and the current crisis requires immediate and strategic action to mitigate its effects.
He noted that while progress is being made to stabilize the economy, substantial work is still needed to rebuild economic confidence and stimulate growth.
“The current efforts are just the starting point; more strategic interventions are necessary to achieve sustainable economic recovery,” he stated.
The Finance Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to introducing reforms aimed at addressing the underlying issues plaguing the economy, fostering a more stable and resilient economic environment.
He expressed optimism that the outcomes of the dialogue would lead to a comprehensive blueprint for revitalizing the economy and promoting sustainable growth in the long term.
