The Kasoa Ofankor District Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, identified as Kwame Whisky, for allegedly poisoning his 21-year-old girlfriend, Linda, at Papaase in the Central Region.
According to preliminary reports, Linda visited Kwame at his residence on Thursday and ate food allegedly prepared by him. She was later found lifeless the following morning, lying on Kwame’s bed with foam coming from her mouth.
Family sources revealed that the couple shared a two-year-old child. After the discovery, Kwame reportedly went to the police station, where he was subsequently arrested.
The Chief of Papaase Number 1, Nana Kwaw Abbey-Quaye, who is also a family member of the deceased, confirmed that Linda’s body has been deposited at the police mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Kwame is currently in police custody at Ofankor as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
