A commercial minibus (trotro) crashed into the fence wall of the Nima residence of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, July 16.
While the exact cause of the accident is yet to be officially confirmed, eyewitnesses suspect the driver may have lost control due to brake failure.
According to one witness, the minibus was traveling from the Nima Roundabout toward the Nima Police Station when the incident occurred.
“I saw the car speeding, and the driver appeared to be struggling to control it. Then, suddenly, it veered off and rammed into the wall,” the eyewitness recounted.
The impact left a section of the residence’s wall severely damaged. Fortunately, no injuries were reported at the time of filing this report.
Police officers responded swiftly to the scene to secure the area and manage the situation.
Further details are expected as investigations continue.
