As part of the activities planned to welcome the new Denkyirahene, Odeefuo Boa Amponsem IV, to Dunkwa-on-Offin, a major cleanup will take place across the town on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

In an exclusive interview on National Agenda with host Mr. Justice Oppong Mensah, the Denkyira Abakomahene, Nana Gyekye Anim III, announced that all residents, including commercial drivers and tricycle (Axi) operators, are expected to participate fully in the cleanup.

He stated that shops and stores will only be allowed to open after the cleanup. This effort is part of the preparations for the arrival of the king from Jukwa on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

On the king’s arrival day, all shops within the Dunkwa municipality will remain closed to ensure a respectful and grand welcome for Odeefuo Boa Amponsem IV.

Nana Gyekye Anim III also disclosed that schools and certain government offices will close temporarily, and some major roads will be blocked to allow for smooth movement and security during the event.

He added that food vendors will not be permitted to sell near the palace, except those licensed to operate at designated spots.

The Abakomahene urged residents to follow all instructions and cooperate fully with the planning committee to ensure peace, order, and a successful royal reception.
