Africa Week UK 2026 Lunch Sets Stage for 10-Day Africa–UK Programme

The Africa Week UK 2026 Lunch has been held in Accra to build momentum and strengthen stakeholder engagement ahead of the main Africa Week UK programme scheduled for October 23 to November 2, 2026.

The event brought together stakeholders and partners to discuss the vision and programme roadmap for the initiative, which is being held under the theme: “Africa Forward: Innovation, Investment, Influence.”

The organisers said the programme was designed to create opportunities for engagement among African businesses, investors, diplomats, policymakers and other stakeholders while promoting Africa’s economic potential and strengthening Africa-UK relations.

The main programme will begin on Friday, October 23, with Welcome Night – A Taste of Africa at Gold Coast Bar & Restaurant, in partnership with Adonko, featuring food, music and networking.

On Monday, October 26, the Spotlight on Africa programme will feature visits to African-owned businesses in London to celebrate entrepreneurs contributing to the economic footprint of the African diaspora in the United Kingdom.

Tuesday, October 27, will focus on Beyond Bloodlines: African-Caribbeans Relationship in the UK, a virtual panel hosted by Africa Guide, to examine shared histories, identity and opportunities between African and Caribbean communities.

A Diplomatic Panel will be held on Wednesday, October 28, bringing together ambassadors and policy leaders to discuss diplomacy, trade corridors and the future of Africa-UK relations. The session will be broadcast live on Omega TV.

The programme will continue on Thursday, October 29, with an Investors Meeting at Ghana International Bank, where investors and financiers will explore opportunities and capital pathways into Africa’s growing sectors.

On Friday, October 30, the Africa Market Access Forum, in partnership with AfCFTA and hosted at the Ghana High Commission, will provide a platform for business-to-business matchmaking between African enterprises and UK partners.

Also from October 30 to November 1, a Heritage Vault Pop-up will be held in Shoreditch, featuring African art, artefacts and storytelling aimed at celebrating and preserving the continent’s heritage.

The programme will climax on Monday, November 2, with the African Branding Forum, in partnership with Edelman Africa, focusing on how Africa can tell its own story to the world through strategic branding and communications.

The organisers are inviting businesses, institutions, brands and organisations to partner with and support Africa Week UK 2026, describing the initiative as a platform to promote innovation, investment and Africa’s influence globally.
