An accident on the Accra-Kumasi Highway at Ohene Nkwanta in the Ashanti Region has claimed the lives of three people, including a mother and her daughter, who died on the spot.

The fatal collision occurred in the early hours of Wednesday between a Zhong Tong KS Transport Service bus with registration number GW 5547-23—carrying 36 passengers—and a Chevrolet Kalo taxi with registration number AS 1766-18.

Several passengers sustained injuries. While some have been treated and discharged, others remain under medical care at the Konongo-Odumasi Government Hospital.

The bodies of the deceased have been transported to the Steward Hospital Morgue in Yawkwei for preservation and further procedures.
