President John Dramani Mahama is set to receive the completed Bawku Mediation Report on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at a brief but significant ceremony at the Jubilee House in Accra.

The handover marks a major step in the nation’s ongoing efforts to secure lasting peace and stability in Bawku and its surrounding communities. The report is the product of an extensive mediation process led by the Asantehene, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, whose leadership has been crucial in fostering dialogue, reconciliation, and mutual understanding among the parties involved.

Thursday’s event will highlight the collective commitment of government agencies, traditional leaders, religious bodies, and international partners toward restoring social harmony in the area. The ceremony, scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., will bring together high-level government officials, members of the mediation committee, and invited dignitaries.

Institutions expected to attend include the National Peace Council, the Christian Council, the Office of the National Chief Imam, the Catholic Secretariat, UNDP, the British High Commission, and regional authorities. Also invited are the Ministers for Upper East and North East, representatives of the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs, and officials from National Security.
