The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has constituted a three-member committee to investigate allegations of inducement and vote-buying during the party’s recent parliamentary primaries in the Ayawaso East Constituency.
The committee has been given until February 10, 2026, to submit its report.
The decision follows growing concerns over the conduct of the internal election, which took place last Saturday and attracted significant public attention.
The directive was contained in a statement issued by the party and signed by its General Secretary, Mr Fifi Fiavi Kwetey.
According to the statement, the move forms part of the NDC’s commitment to strengthening internal democracy, promoting transparency, and ensuring ethical political practices.
The committee has been mandated to thoroughly examine the allegations and recommend appropriate measures, including possible sanctions, should any wrongdoing be established.
