Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Central Region , The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Hon. Isaac Yawson, has underscored the vital role government appointees play in translating the President’s vision into tangible development at the local level.
Addressing participants during a community clean-up exercise at Twifo Nuamakrom, Hon. Yawson reminded appointees that their positions come with a mandate to actively support and promote government programs in their respective jurisdictions.
“Wherever you serve, remember that you represent the President,” he stated. “You have been entrusted with authority to act on his behalf, and it’s your duty to work diligently to advance his policies and ensure their success.”
The DCE commended the participation of traditional leaders, assembly members, and local officials in the sanitation drive, describing their involvement as a sign of shared commitment to community development.
In a related development, the Chief of Twifo Nuamakrom, Nana Akrofi Koram I, cautioned residents against indiscriminate dumping of refuse, warning that those who flout sanitation regulations would face legal action. He further announced plans to install waste bins at strategic locations across the community to encourage proper waste disposal.
Meanwhile, Hon. Daniel Agbodza, the Assembly Member for the area, outlined some of the pressing challenges confronting residents. He assured the public that steps are being taken to resolve these concerns through coordinated efforts involving the Member of Parliament and the District Assembly.
The exercise formed part of a broader initiative aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders in local governance.
