65-Year-Old Lotto Agent Dies in Motorcycle Accident at Nkrankwanta-Ahemakrom Road

A 65-year-old lotto agent, popularly known as Vie, tragically lost his life in a fatal motorcycle accident on the Nkrankwanta–Ahemakrom road in the Western Region of Ghana.

Vie, who lived in Amakukrom, Côte d’Ivoire, and worked in Ahemakrom, died instantly after being struck by a speeding vehicle on the evening of Thursday, June 18.

According to eyewitnesses, two drivers traveling towards Berekum from Ahemakrom were reportedly racing each other. Vie, in an attempt to avoid the speeding vehicles, pulled over and stopped his motorcycle. Unfortunately, one of the drivers, while overtaking at a sharp curve, crashed into him.

The impact resulted in Vie’s immediate death.

The driver attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by residents at the Nkrankwanta barrier, located in the Dormaa West District.
