Jah Boy Escapes from Police Custody in Juaboso

Yaw Tawiah, also known as Jah Boy, has escaped from police custody, prompting an investigation by the authorities at the Juaboso District Command, as confirmed by sources to the media.

The incident occurred on the morning of October 3, 2024, at the Sefwi Boinzan Police Station, where Tawiah was being detained on charges including conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, and illegal possession of a firearm.

Upon receiving information about the escape, Juaboso District Commander, Chief Superintendent Samuel Ntosoh, immediately led a team to the Boinzan Charge Office to assess the situation.

Preliminary findings indicated that Constable Alice Owusu Agyemang, who was on duty, had opened the cell to provide water for Tawiah and his accomplice, Bright Tetteh, also known as Kofi Y2K, for the purpose of flushing their toilet. It was during this moment that Tawiah pushed the officer aside and fled into nearby bushes.

A search party, including patrol units, was promptly organized to comb through the surrounding areas and nearby communities. Despite extensive efforts, the fugitive has not yet been located. The police have since engaged local informants in hopes of tracking down Tawiah and are continuing their search to bring him back into custody.
