The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Hon. Isaac Yawson, has issued a strong caution to motorists traveling along the Twifo Praso–Dunkwa Road to reduce speed and exercise extreme care as construction activities intensify.
Speaking during a site inspection, Hon. Yawson noted that the presence of heavy machinery and construction personnel poses a significant risk to both drivers and pedestrians. He stressed that overspeeding remains a major cause of fatalities in the district, urging drivers to prioritize safety over speed.
“Overspeeding is killing our people, and it’s something we must all take seriously,” he warned.
The DCE reassured residents of the government’s commitment to infrastructure development under the “resetting agenda” of former President John Mahama, stating that all poor road networks in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District are currently under construction.
“Every bad road in Twifo Atti-Morkwa is under construction, and contractors are already on site,” he confirmed.
He further called on the community to support ongoing development initiatives, emphasizing that public cooperation is essential for progress and safety during the construction period.
