The Queen Mother of Denkyira, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III, has proclaimed that the Denkyira Kingdom has risen and is on a path of revival.
Speaking at the 7th Akwasidae Festival held at Jukwa, the traditional capital of Denkyira, she urged chiefs and residents to unite for the progress and development of the kingdom.
The Queen Mother appealed to the traditional leaders, Nananoom, to put aside their differences and resolve disputes as the people prepare to welcome the 26th Denkyirahene. She emphasized that peace and harmony are the foundation for true development.
Nana Ama Ayensua Saara further advised the youth and residents to avoid acts that could lead to conflict or hinder growth. “Let us stay away from trouble and channel our energies into building a strong Denkyira for generations to come,” she said.
She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people for their continuous support, commitment, and loyalty to Denkyira’s traditions and heritage, noting that their collective effort has kept the kingdom strong.
The Akwasidae Festival, observed every six weeks on the Akan calendar, brought together traditional authorities, dignitaries, politicians, government officials, and indigenes to celebrate culture, unity, and continuity as Denkyira awaits the official announcement of its new king.
