The District Chief Executive for Assin North, Honorable Sylvester Amakye Nyarkoh, has pledged to complete and commission the long-abandoned CHPS compound at Assin Kyiano, which has been left to decay for nearly nine years.

The facility, which was started under a previous administration, has been overtaken by weeds, with broken doors and windows, and serious structural defects. During an inspection tour, the DCE expressed disappointment at the poor state of the project, pointing out evidence of shoddy work by the original contractor.

Honorable Amakye Nyarkoh stressed that residents have been forced to travel long distances for even basic healthcare services, a situation he described as unacceptable. He assured the people that the current NDC administration will prioritize the project’s completion, noting that government resources come from taxpayers and should never be wasted due to political transitions.

The DCE further warned contractors against delivering substandard work, vowing that such negligence will not be tolerated. He was accompanied on the tour by the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Newman, and other Assembly officials.
