Paul Adom-Otchere, former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), has been released from the custody of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) after meeting revised bail conditions.

He was released on Friday, August 1, 2025, in the company of former Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame and his legal team. However, Adom-Otchere has been directed to return to the OSP to complete administrative procedures.

His initial detention followed his failure to meet the original bail conditions, which required ownership of landed property in Ghana. After negotiations with his lawyers, the bail terms were amended, with the Jospong Group of Companies stepping in as surety. The OSP confirmed that the revised terms fulfilled the intent of the original conditions.

Adom-Otchere is facing charges linked to a revenue assurance contract between GACL and a private firm, allegedly awarded without full board approval. The contract is under investigation for possible procurement breaches. Two others Otchere Kwame Baffour Awuah and Albert Adjetey Adjei-Laryea are also facing related charges.
