The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally endorsed Solomon Asumadu as its parliamentary candidate for the Akwatia constituency, following the passing of sitting Member of Parliament, Ernest Kumi.
The party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, announced the decision at a press conference held at the NPP headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, July 29.
According to Mr. Kodua, the endorsement came after a series of consultations and meetings, culminating in unanimous approval by the party’s National Council.
Mr. Asumadu currently serves as the NPP’s Akwatia constituency treasurer and is widely regarded as a grassroots favorite with broad local support.
