Two people were injured in a head-on collision between a Toyota Yaris (GE-1492-21) and a motorbike (M-25-CR 459) on the Dompim–Adiembra road earlier this morning.
The motorbike rider and a pillion passenger sustained serious injuries. Despite damage to his vehicle, the driver of the Toyota Yaris rushed both victims to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu for medical attention.
After filing a report with the police, the driver later returned to the hospital with officers to check on the victims’ condition. Surprisingly, both individuals had vanished from the facility without notifying medical staff.
Sources indicate that the injured pair engaged in a heated confrontation with hospital personnel, accusing them of delaying treatment, before abandoning their beds and fleeing the facility without clearance.
Meanwhile, both the motorbike and the Toyota Yaris have been impounded and are currently in the custody of the Assin Fosu Regional MTTD Command as part of ongoing investigations.
