The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana National Fire Service, Alex King Nartey, has shared a disturbing incident involving a man who called the emergency hotline to request sex from a female officer at the call centre.
In a social media post, Mr. Nartey expressed frustration over the continued abuse of emergency lines, despite previous warnings against prank and inappropriate calls.
To support his claims, he released a video recording of the incident, capturing the caller making explicit requests to the female officer.
Although Mr. Nartey initially intended to publish the caller’s phone number, he blurred it out following public advice.
He used the opportunity to urge Ghanaians to act responsibly and refrain from misusing the emergency system, which exists to save lives and protect property.
Mr. Nartey emphasized the importance of respecting emergency services and using them strictly for their intended purpose.
