The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has urged investors to support Ghana’s energy sector, emphasizing its critical role in advancing the government’s 24-hour economy initiative.

Speaking at the Manhyia Palace during a meeting with officials from Dream Power Africa, a solar energy company, the Asantehene stressed that reliable electricity is fundamental to national progress.

He noted that energy availability especially in rural areas and industrial zones is essential for the success of the 24-hour economy policy.

“The success of our 24-hour economy hinges on accessible and efficient energy supply. Industries and rural areas need it to function optimally, which in turn will boost the country’s overall development,” he said.

Otumfuo further highlighted that sustainable investment in the energy sector would not only support economic transformation but also enhance development equity across regions.
