The authorities of Diaso Senior High School in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region are appealing for urgent assistance to complete the school’s dormitories and teachers’ bungalows.

According to the headmistress, Benedicta Anto Mensah, the current living conditions are appalling. Male students are forced to sleep in classrooms, while female boarders are housed in a dilapidated block located 2.5 kilometers from the main school compound a situation she described as stressful and unsafe.

Madam Anto Mensah has called on the District Chief Executive, Hon. Nsiah Isaac, the Member of Parliament, Hon. Rudolph Amoako Gyampa, and the Ministry of Education to expedite the completion of the stalled infrastructure projects.

Responding to the plea, the MP revealed that he has already presented the school’s challenges to the Minister of Education, who has pledged to provide the school with an ICT center in the near future. He also appealed to well-meaning individuals and stakeholders within the district to support the school.

Despite being in office for less than a month, the DCE, Hon. Nsiah Isaac, expressed his commitment to ensuring that the dormitory and bungalow projects are completed soon.
