Richie Mensah, CEO of Lynx Group and renowned Ghanaian record producer, has called on entertainers to focus on hard work and take charge of their careers and finances. Speaking during an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, Richie emphasized the need for creatives to stop relying solely on government support and instead take proactive steps to build successful careers.
“Stop looking for help from the government. Do it yourself! When we entertainers start doing things properly, stop swerving taxes, and begin generating substantial income, the government will have no choice but to take notice,” Richie stated. He urged entertainers to shift their mindset and take responsibility for their growth, noting that proactive actions are critical in today’s fast-paced entertainment industry.
Richie also stressed the importance of aligning one’s career with personal passions and skills, advising creatives to identify and pursue opportunities independently. “By doing so, creatives can build a career on their own terms and achieve success without waiting for external validation,” he noted. He added that taking charge and working diligently would ultimately compel the government to acknowledge the industry’s contribution to national development.
In line with empowering entertainers, Richie Mensah revealed that Lynx Group has semi-launched a music distribution platform. The initiative aims to provide creatives with the tools and resources they need to manage their careers effectively and thrive in the competitive entertainment industry.
