Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, has cautioned men of God and other religious believers against anointing the newly launched embedded passports with oils and other substances, warning that such practices could compromise the documents’ security features.

“Recently, I was really alarmed to see individuals on TV sending their passports to pastors to be anointed, hoping to be automatically granted visas at embassies,” he said.

“I plead with such individuals to desist from this practice and instead focus on anointing other parts of their bodies, if they must,” he added.
