The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the good people of Prestea-Huni Valley Constituency, Hon. Lawyer Mrs Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has donated five laptops to five selected university students from towns and communities within the Prestea-Huni Valley Constituency.
The gesture from the President of Wassa Hemaa Foundation to the students who hail from Bogoso, Huni-Valley and Koduakrom and are pursuing different courses in the Universities including UMAT, KNUST, CCTU and CapeCoast University is aimed at facilitating and enhancing their studies.
The five laptops valued at Ghc20,000 were presented to the students on Friday, 12th July 2024, by Hon. Lawyer Mrs Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, further to requests submitted to the Wassa Hemaa Foundation.
She advised the students to focus on their studies and further reiterated the vision of the NPP Presidential Candidate, Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia towards tertiary education, which is to make student loans accessible to all students through the use of the national identity card (Gh-card) to replace the guarantor system.
In a similar development, Hon. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi donated a brand new refrigerator to Atwereboanda CHPs compound (a facility constructed during her tenure as MP) to ensure proper storage of critical medicines and vaccines to support effective health care delivery to the community.
Beneficiaries of both donations expressed gratitude to the Parliamentary Candidate and pledged to put the items to good use.
