The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Wasa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebah, has announced the distribution of more than 35,000 coconut seedlings to farmers in the municipality. The seedlings, provided under former President John Dramani Mahama’s initiative, have been handed over to Agricultural Extension Officers for free distribution.

Hon. Ebah explained that the initiative is aimed at expanding coconut cultivation, boosting productivity, and offering sustainable support to farmers in the Western Region. He emphasized that coconut farming holds immense potential for improving livelihoods and strengthening the local economy.

He further stated that the intervention reflects government’s broader commitment to revitalizing the agricultural sector, creating jobs for the youth, and driving socio-economic development in Wasa Amenfi East and surrounding areas.
