The Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority, (DVLA)’s Boss has expressed gratitude towards the ongoing ultramodern building project meant for a new municipal DVLA office.
Mr. Justice Cudjoe who heads the office at Dunkwa On-Offin, Upper Denkyira East said he’s very excited, and it’s interesting that the government together with the DVLA board saw the need to raise a new building for the purpose of an office in the municipality.
He explained that per the plan of government and contract terms, the project which began in September 2023 should be completed in October 2024, if all challenges are being addressed.
Mr. Cudjoe in an exclusive interview with Denkyiraman News stream, noted that the office will make staffs enthused and confident to work.
“ A New and improved working environment with good tools to ensure smooth work, will make workers always wake up with a positive energy and confidence to work”, he added.
He continued that plans were underway for a new environment like the new office, due to some challenges the DVLA faced in its old and current office.
“The current office has no place of convenience for staff members and visitors who come around for registration activities. Also our work has been expanded as we’re able to register cars now, yet if we get more than three big vehicles coming in for registration, it will be difficult because we have a small space for a parking lot”, Justice explained.
Mr. Cudjoe thanked the government and the DVLA board for their support and cooperation in considering their proposals for a new office.
The Site Manager for the ongoing project, Mr. Fredrick Mensah also added that the project is undergoing a smooth process and there haven’t been any major challenges so far.
He mentioned that the office when completed successfully would help residents in the municipality to get easy access to registering their vehicles instead of travelling across to other locations for that purpose.
