The National Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Joseph Yamin has confirmed during an exclusive interview on Denkyiraman Radio’s National Agenda that his party is not interested in the come Ejisu Parliamentary elections.
This statement made by Mr. Joseph Yamin, comes in the wake of the vacant parliamentary seat in the Ejisu constituency, due to the passing of Hon. John Kumah.
According to the NDC’s national organizer, they would have participated in the election after the by-elections but due to busy schedules and other pressing matters, the NDC has agreed to rather prepare massively ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Answering questions on whether the NDC is afraid to lose as been speculated about, he bragged that his party has got able candidates to contest and win, but there’s a lot to do to meet the challenges and victory in the general election.
“The National Democratic Party has a timetable drawn up for some crucial activities, so they have decided to rather focus and not allow any other matters to draw them backwards” he added.
In conclusion he said there’s no fear on the part of his party because the said constituency is the NPP’s stronghold, but they have decided to channel all attention to the coming general elections and activities involved.
