The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced that it will hold another Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The meeting aims to bring together key stakeholders in the electoral process to discuss pressing issues ahead of the 2024 general elections. The main agenda for the meeting will be the re-exhibition of the Provisional Voter’s Register (PVR).
This is part of the Commission’s efforts to ensure that the voter register is accurate and transparent, facilitating a smooth electoral process. The EC has been engaging political parties and other stakeholders to ensure full cooperation and participation.
The EC has urged all political parties to attend the meeting with a maximum of two representatives. This limitation on the number of attendees is likely aimed at ensuring that the meeting remains focused and productive. The commission hopes to establish continued collaboration with the political parties through this meeting, with the presence of media personalities.
