The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Pre-Tertiary Teachers Association of Ghana (PRETAG) have suspended their strike following engagements with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), the Ministry of Employment and the Council of State.

The unions embarked on the industrial action over unresolved concerns relating to promotions, conditions of service, deprived-area allowances and unpaid arrears arising from promotions.

The suspension follows engagements with the relevant stakeholders aimed at addressing the outstanding issues affecting teachers.
