The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released the timetable for its 2026 Constituency, Regional and National Executive Elections following a directive by the Party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC). A statement issued on Wednesday said the timetable outlined the roadmap for the conduct of the internal elections, including the opening and filing of nominations, vetting of aspirants, appeals, balloting and elections at the constituency, regional and national levels. It said the exercise underscored the Party’s commitment to conducting transparent, credible and well-organised elections in accordance with its Constitution and approved election guidelines.
The Party urged all regional and constituency executives, aspirants and members to familiarise themselves with the timetable and strictly adhere to all timelines, procedures and deadlines to ensure a smooth electoral process. It also expressed appreciation to members, executives and stakeholders for their continued commitment and confidence that the ongoing reorganisation would strengthen the Party ahead of the 2028 General Election.
According to the timetable, nominations for constituency executive positions will open from September 15 to 17, followed by the filing of nominations on September 23 and 24, vetting from September 25 to 27 and constituency elections on October 24 and 25. Nominations for national executive positions will open from October 20 to 21, with filing scheduled for November 7 to 9 and vetting from November 12 to 13 at the Party’s national headquarters.
