The date was announced in a statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong and dated 8 July.
According to the statement, the decision was taken by the National Executive Committee and subsequently approved by the National Council at their respective meetings held on Thursday (25 June).
The conference is being convened pursuant to Article 10(1) of the Party Constitution.
Ahead of the conference, the General Secretary, acting pursuant to Article 19(2) of the Party Constitution, formally invited proposals for amendments to the Party Constitution.
The NPP said all proposed amendments should be submitted to the Office of the General Secretary at the Party’s National Headquarters or electronically to `nppconstitutional.amendment@gmail.com`.
The deadline for the submission of all proposals is Friday (17 July).
The party encouraged all members and stakeholders to take advantage of the constitutional review process “by submitting proposals that will further strengthen the Party’s structures, enhance its internal democratic processes, and promote effective governance.”
“As the Party prepares for its National Delegates Conference, it remains committed to constitutionalism, internal democracy, and the rule of law, ensuring adherence to the Party Constitution and its democratic traditions,” the statement said.
