The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has temporarily suspended the enforcement of fines issued by its Compliance Team nationwide, effective Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, October 14, the suspension will stay in effect until further notice.
The decision comes after weeks of increased nationwide operations by the DVLA’s Compliance Team to ensure that drivers and vehicles comply with the country’s road safety and licensing laws.
However, after receiving broad public feedback and conducting internal discussions, the Authority decided to pause the enforcement to allow for more stakeholder input and review.
“While the enforcement of compliance fees and charges has been suspended, all legal requirements for drivers and vehicles remain unchanged,” the statement clarified.
The DVLA also noted that the temporary suspension is meant to encourage dialogue and improve public understanding of road rules, emphasizing that road safety remains a top priority.
It encouraged all drivers to keep following the laws governing road use as the Authority works to boost education and awareness on compliance issues.
