The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 13 new cases of Mpox as of October 1, 2025, raising the national total to 670. The latest figures reflect a steady rise in infections across the country in recent weeks.

According to the GHS, three fatalities have been recorded so far, with one patient currently hospitalised and receiving treatment.

Health officials have reiterated that Mpox is primarily spread through direct contact with infected individuals. The public is therefore being urged to take preventive measures seriously.

The GHS is advising citizens to maintain good personal hygiene, avoid close contact with suspected cases, and seek immediate medical attention if they experience symptoms such as fever, rash, swollen lymph nodes, muscle pain, headaches, chills, or fatigue.
