On a walk today, I came across a billboard. At first glance, it looked like just another campaign poster but upon closer reflection, it spoke volumes.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong didn’t endorse Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for political convenience, as many did in the last election cycle. He stood with him, worked with him, and proved his loyalty through action, not empty words. That loyalty contributed significantly to the impressive results the NPP secured in the Eastern Region.
Today, some argue that his decision to contest for the flagbearership contradicts loyalty. In truth, it is the highest expression of loyalty. Because genuine loyalty is not passive silence it is the courage to step up when the party needs the strongest, most disciplined, and grassroots-driven candidate to unify the base and secure victory.
At this critical juncture, the NPP needs more than rhetoric. It needs a leader who is bold, decisive, disciplined, driven, and results-oriented. By every measure, Dr. Bryan Acheampong embodies these qualities.
It is time for the party to awaken from the comfort of “Aka 9pɛ” politics and, with one mind, rally proudly and solidly behind Dr. Bryan Acheampong. Only then can we secure a resounding victory in 2028.
