On September 3, 2025, twenty-four beneficiaries of the Police and Fire Assistance Program under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) module paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah.
The visit was to express their gratitude to the MCE for his unwavering support throughout their training program.
Addressing the group, Hon. Ebbah commended them for their commitment and underscored the critical role of the YEA initiative in addressing youth unemployment while equipping young people with practical skills. He urged the beneficiaries to apply the knowledge and discipline they had acquired to serve their communities effectively.
“Do not allow your intensive training to go to waste. This program is meant to shape your future, instill discipline, and prepare you for national service. Make sure you use it to benefit yourselves and your communities,” he advised.
The MCE further noted that the activities of the beneficiaries would be closely monitored, adding that the 20% recruitment slot into the mainstream Police and Fire Service would be reserved for those who demonstrate hard work, discipline, and dedication, as recommended by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
On behalf of YEA, Mr. Alidu Dramani, the Municipal YEA Director, praised Hon. Ebbah for his consistent support and reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to creating sustainable employment pathways for young people in Wassa Amenfi East.
The beneficiaries, visibly elated, pledged to uphold discipline, dedication, and integrity as they continue their journey under the YEA module.
